About Us

Loving Local is a registered 501(c)(3)Non-Profit Organization designed to meet the needs of foster children and foster families located in the Treasure Valley. Founder Jordyn Catandella, discovered the need of essential items for foster children and families during her work as an independent intervention specialist, as well as partnering with different non profit organizations working towards similar goals of serving children and families in need, within their community, and internationally. As a wife of someone who was adopted through the Foster Care system, Jordyn’s ultimate goal through this organization would be that foster children and families would feel loved and supported within their community.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” - John 16:33

Our mission is to provide essential items for children 0-18 in the foster care system in the Treasure Valley. Through sponsorships, foster families will not only be given necessary items, but also a loving and supportive connection with their sponsor.

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other”

Romans 12: 9-10
