Once you find a foster family you want to commit to sponsoring, you will click on the icon that says “Sponsor Me.” That will take you to a page where you can fill out all the information necessary to begin your sponsoring journey. When you first sign up to sponsor a family they will be notified they have been chosen, then provided a welcome kit with a new set of clothes, shoes and a preffered item of choice (stuffed animal, toy, snack, etc) for the Foster child or children. Every month after that, your Loving Local cordinator will colaborate with the foster family and care team to provide requested items or resources. Your monthly donation will also go towards a special birthday present and other items or activities for holidays and special events.

The monthy cost for Sponsorships is $20 a month. You have the option to increase your monthly amount (recommended for families with more than one foster child) or sponsor more than one Foster Family. There is no contract and you can cancel anytime.

Yes! Although we are a local non profit for the treasure valley, we welcome support and donations from all over. If you choose to sponsor a family, you will still get access to prayer requests and letters from the families.

Your Loving Local Coordinator will work with the child’s foster family and care team to discover what items or resources are deemed necessary or requested by the foster family. At the end of each quarter, you will be sent an itemized report of what was provided for your sponsored family via email.

Yes! At the end of each purchase you will recieve a receipt, as well as a tax document at the end of the year.

Some foster placements can last several days to several years, depending on each case. Once you choose what family you will be sponsoring for, you will be sponsoring them for as long as they have a foster child placed with them. If the child gets relocated or reunified with family, you will be notified and provided the choice to continue sponsoring the family until the next placement, or begin sponsoring a different family.

Yes! Although we advertise as a non profit aimed to support foster families, we also provide kinship sponsorships and funding for families caring for their own relatives within the welfare system. Kinship families will be under the same category as foster families, and will be provided with the same resources and assistance.
